Bait-Prep in the Bow

01_11_2.jpg

We never had enough workspace for cutting, storing and rigging bait. The boat had a chair we never used, so we replaced it with a pedestal-mounted cutting board. The cutting board has a hole cut in the middle in which we mounted a one-gallon bucket. The cutting board also has a slot for a knife and a hole in the corner to hang a towel—always convenient when cutting bait. Now, instead of using the cooler lid as a bait-prep station, the operation is consolidated in the bow, easy to reach and out of the way. Cutting board, mounting hardware and bucket all cost less than $15.
