Cat fanciers desiring fast, efficient performance with a custom look will want to check out the Freeman 33 Catamaran. Each one-off boat is cold-molded plywood over Douglas fir for a favorable strength-to-weight ratio. The wooden keel and stringers are totally encapsulated in biaxial fiberglass and epoxy resin. The deep-V planing hulls have a half-pipe tunnel between sponsons to enhance structural integrity and eliminate slap. Factory tests with twin 250 hp four-strokes produced a top speed of 51 mph. Numerous options are available for the 33. Freeman Boatworks • www.freemanboatworks.com
