Sportfishing for big bull redfish on light tackle in Orange Beach, Al

It is a blast to see a 25 pound big bull redfish explode on a topwater plug or a jig. Battle these big redfish on light tackle here in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Big bull redfish on light tackle is an absolute blast. These big redfish are here off the beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. We sometimes see well over a hundred redfish weighing over 20 pounds each. These fish can be aggressive. Watch a big redfish crash on a topwater plug or a jig. The fight on light tackle just begins. These redfish should be around until late March. A cool north wind is ideal for these fish. This means bait, birds and redfish. We fish from just off the beach out to approximately 2 miles. We enjoy the nice calm seas with a north wind being blocked by land and condos. We have been enjoying this great light tackle sportfishing since November. We fish off the back deck of a 36 foot Hatteras named Getaway. We are all about comfort. Enjoy a cup of my favorite Costa Rican Shade Grown coffee along with some peace and quiet. Or, we can turn up the music provided by satellite stereo. Be sure and go to my website at and view my redfish video.
Fun and fishing on the Getaway with Captain Don and Gill.
