We set out bright and early Thursday morning for the stream in hopes of warm water. With the cold winter its taken it a while to warm up. To our delight we found 74-78 water. We started at the 100-400 where we worked to the black jack. About 2 miles short of Black Jack we found some nice mahi for the box and one black fin. Kept pushing picked up a stray mahi and then pushed to the Steeples where buddy had found a hot bite. Pulled up a little late and only picked at the mahi and one more Black Fin. Tried some jigging at Black Jack and Steeples with no luck. Grouper, AJ's, etc... have moved more to the 100 foot depth. Once we got in good reports of Kings moving in to the beach. As usual Mothers Day weekend sping bite is on. Had half day pm trip 5-7 and we had some fun action of kings, spanish and plenty of sharks live bait fishing off of Yaupon Beach NC. Pogies were holding in 10 ft of water and easy to catch.
