Puerto Rico's 21st Annual Marlin Light Tackle, Club Deportivo Del Oeste Inc

79 Boats , 468 logged Fisherman , All Tag & Released 147 Marlin , with 103 additional Marlin strikes

As was in years past, this years event of Marlin releases broke this years Caribbean record for participation and for amounts caught and released . And as usual , the Fiesta before and during the event was first class with music , food , and beverages for everyone .

For a month , the West areas of Cabo Rojo and Joyuda were very busy attending the first ever A.C.C. ( American Caribbean Challenge ) , Dr Leeland Stevens charity Marlin Release event for a new school for the hearing and deaft impared for Cabo Rojo, then the Intl Ladies Marlin Light Tackle on 18th and 19 th with 47 Ladies , followed by the annual 21st three day Marlin release torneo . Very Very busy month of fishing with great weather and a great ocean.

Our committee Torneo Director , Papo Alemany , along with Commodoro Pipe Baco , with the always righ hands of the event Edgard Quinones and Carrie Baco in operations control , added with absolute support by CDO Omar Muniz and Staff made it the best of years yet especially during these difficult times.
